Pre-Registration Briefing (continued)

1. Respect & Consent
This should go without saying, but at the Bureau, respect and consent are non-negotiable. We welcome guests of any gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, age (18+), class identity, hair style, dance move preference, you name it, and we want every one of you free to express yourself fully and throw yourself into the collaborative chaos. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind, and by joining as a member, you're signing up to that. We do encourage you to go bonkers. Just know your limits, and make sure your fun never comes at someone else's expense. Basically, don't be a fu          [REDACTED BY BUREAU DEPARTMENT OF APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE STANDARDS].
A note on beliefs, earnestly: we're here for love and human connection, and we distance ourselves from anything that seeds alienation, such as racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, Nazism, Zionism, and imperialism. As a collective, we stand with the people hurt most by the rhetoric of dehumanization—today, especially our Palestinian brothers and sisters—and we want this space to be safe for them. This is about beliefs, not identity: our team and community are black, white, brown, Asian, Israeli, Arab, Jewish, and everything in between—and we all stand behind this message.
Everyone is welcome, as long as you're with us on this.
2. Site Preservation
The site is gorgeous, and we aim to keep it that way—both for ourselves and for the ones who follow (and also so we don't lose our deposit).
  • Bins will be everywhere, so use them. Everything that is waste must end up in them.
  • Cigarette butts are a serious fire hazard in the region on top of being harmful for the environment. Bring a tin or an ashtray. If you need one, we will provide one.
  • No open flames. This includes candles, BBQs, fireworks. Leave them at home. Small camping stoves are allowed.
3. Legal Entity & Membership
The Playground Bureau is a non-profit cultural association (under the name Associació per a la Promoció dels Enllaços Socials — A.P.E.S.), and therefore all proceeds are reinvested into the community to foster creativity and build new events and ideas. This gathering is formally a private members-only event, and your registration fee is your membership contribution to the association — by securing your spot, you will automatically be registered as a member of the association until the end of the festival. (Hence why we will ask you for your ID number during registration.)
4. One Registration Per Person
You may only register yourself, and only once. No registering on behalf of friends or partners—we want every single member to personally go through these steps before joining. Send them this page instead.
