Drum roll please. We are once again beyond THRILLED to announce the third iteration of the Bureau's annual four-day program dedicated to the research, testing, and refinement of methods for increasing Goodtimesium levels in the general population—it's time for MONKEY BUSINESS.
The program gathers participants at a rural site for a kontrolled environment in which various approaches to Goodtimesium elevation are trialed, including:
  • Communal meals, cooked with love
  • Electromagnetic soundwaves that make you boogy past your bedtime
  • Workshops to for your body and soul
  • Performances, stand-up comedy, and theatrics
  • Quantum physics thing that bends reality to enable letting go of daily concerns
  • Having an ice-cold drink by the lake under big blue skies
  • Waking up to chirping birds
  • Making old friends out of new ones
  • And all the little moments to remember
All provisions, including food, beverages*, and programming, are included in the registration contribution. No monetary transactions take place onsite during the event.
Tell your friends, family, family friends, friends' family, family friends' family and so and so forth. We are all about word-of-mouth, so we need your help to make it happen ✩
* The bar is free, but participants are required to donate drinks to keep it stocked. See Beverages below.
2. Sponsorship ◆
As per Sponsorship Agreement Section 9.2b, we are obliged to state here that we are "super stoked" to have Carrefoogle Corporation as our official event sponsor. Previous participants may remember them for their sponsoring of the Scrolling Area (designated scrolling booth designed to prevent second-hand scrolling) during the last two Monkey Businesses.
You can find out more about them at www.carrefoogle.com.
Carrefoogle Corporation wishes us to communicate that they are deeply committed to Goodtimesium elevation, and categorically deny all allegations of ‘goodtimes-washing’ and links to rising Separatoxin levels.
3. Registration & Contribution ✎

4. Music Program ♫
The Bureau's Department of Soundwaves will be experimenting with various different types of soundwaves, ranging from breakbeat to psydub to downtempo to balearic house to 90s house to UK garage to experimental live music and everything in between, including soundwave types we can't quite categorize.
Here is the final list of people who've figured out how to control soundwaves and make you dance. In alphabetical order:
There will be multiple stages with different vibes. Something for everyone, day and night ♡
5. Workshops & Activities ✿
"Work" and "Shop" don't sound so appealing separately, but put them together and boom! Workshops. Similarly, "Acti" and "vities" aren't even real words, but put them together and boom! Activities. Anyways, here is the grand list of workshops and activities programmed by the Bureau for MB-3:

6. Food ❦
It's sometimes debated whether Monkey Business is a music/workshop festival with food, or a food festival with music/workshop. It's that important to us.
Banana Banana Banana Banana
Freshly made vegetarian food will be provided six times during the program by the Bureau's Department of Deluctable Meals, made up of great friends of ours who also happen to be professional and hobbyist chefs. There will also be light breakfast every morning. Please be careful if you are allergic to love, as there will be a lot it in the food.
If you have any dietary restrictions, email us at least a month ahead of time so that we can make sure you walk away full after each meal :)
You are still advised to bring some supplies with you, like light snacks, fruits and things to keep you going.
7. Beverages ⚗
The Monkey Business Community Bar works like this:
  1. You donate bottles of your choice (any alcohol or soft drink) to the bar. The more you plan to drink, the more you are encouraged to donate.
  2. We also stock the bar with beers, soft drinks, and common spirits.
  3. Tadah, an open bar with an eclectic selection!
Please drop off your drink donations to the bar upon arrival. The Bureau would like to thank you in advance.
8. Accommodation ⌂
Designated camping areas are available onsite. Participants are expected to bring their own tent. The campsites aren't right next to the dancefloors, so you should get decent sleep at night! Which also means: make noise at the party areas and respect the sleepers :)
Vehicle camping is permitted 👍 Please just let us know via email ahead of time so we get a good estimate
Additional lodging options, if available, will be announced closer to the program date.
9. Dogs 🐕
The Bureau loves dogs, that's for sure. But dogs are not permitted in the main festival areas, unless they have a prior personal relationship with the resident dog who lives onsite. He gets a bit too excited when he makes new friends. This is sadly non negotiable, according to the resident dog's secretary.
10. Site Access & Transportation ➤
Bus
We organize a shuttle bus from Barcelona city center. You can book your spot here!
Or make your own way:
Car 2 hours from Barcelona, 1 hour from Girona, 30 minutes from Figueres
Public transit 2 hours to Figueres from Barcelona, then a 30-minute taxi to the venue (~€60)
Catapult 0.5 seconds from Figueres
Exact location to be included in the registration confirmation email.
11. Syndicate Advisory ⚑
Syndicate operatives can typically be identified by their tinfoil hats and erratic, nonsensical behaviour (even by our standards). DO NOT INTERACT. They are generally harmless but please, for the love of God, do not encourage them.
